Facebook has teamed up with manufacturer HTC to create a smartphone integrated with social networking, according to All Things Digital blog, the site of the “Wall Street Journal.”
Also according to the blog, the design of the smartphone was named because of Buffy the vampire slayer the series “Buffy the vampire slayer.” The device works with a modified version of Android, Google’s developed, but available for use and settings of several companies.
The Buffy has been an area of concern within Facebook two years ago and is led by Bret Taylor, the sources said the site. Also according to sources consulted by the All Things Digital, Facebook had also considered making a partnership with Samsung, HTC, but chose the two companies declined to comment.
The expected arrival of the smartphone market is 12 to 18 months.
