Apple MacBook Pro 13″ i7 (2011) Review by Product Feedback

Apple MacBook Pro 13

I spend about 10 minutes looking at the new 2011 MacBook Pro (15″ Core i7), with side by side comparison of the 2010 MacBook Pro (15″ Core i5). I talk about Thunderbolt, iSight HD, and there may even be some haphazard speed testing! Please feel free to leave comments or questions and I will try to respond. Also be sure to rate. Thanks for watching! Boring unboxing pics on my flickr here: www.flickr.com

    @ravenswod You bought it recently? I’m not sure if I should buy a macbook now or wait for the 2012 model.

    Thanks pal, I just bought the macbook pro, i7 processor, HD 3000 graphics, 750 gigabytes, 4gig ram, but I upgraded it myself to a 8gig ram. Runs smooth and a bit s lot different then my Sony Vaio. Sometimes it freezes during high caliber gaming. Other then that, it works just fine.

    @tylertyty123456 I had a brand new Vaio with Windows 7 for 6 months at work (not my decision) and I found that combo plain rubbish. I grew to hate that thing so much I would not go for another Windows PC again. Even though the Macbook Pro doesn’t have the hdmi and bluray I wish it did, I’m buying one now. Been on Mac over 10yrs and my short experience with Windows did not convince me at all.

    @ccaian1 I actually thought the camera work was the best part of the video. It was nice, and I definitely enjoyed the schmexiness of the whole video.

    @ToysTechNerdiness

    Actually half the time I wasn’t looking. The camera work is really great. Makes that glossy screen look godly. Its so slick and sexy, if there was no audio I would still be convinced to buy it.

    @tylertyty123456

    Better? In specifications the PC is better. But in terms of the interface and OS, well thats opinion. The PC might not be as fluid, but once you get used to it, its impossible to leave it for another OS.

    I like how he tests the audio on the macbook. There’s only one flaw with that, I’m listening to it through my own speakers…

    I think you guys should perhaps talk about the Pros of the actual MacBook instead of using them as a quick vessel to talk about the Cons. After watching this review I felt confused as to whether or not the reviewer even liked the computer, and just bought it to sell in a year. I think when you’re writing your review, ask yourselves what you liked first, and then what you didn’t like.

    Most applications seemed only a little faster; what I wud like to have seen is playing a video.

    no model numbers were given, so I guess now u don’t have the newest model.

    MacBook Pro MD314LL/A vs MC724LL/A is what I am having trouble finding a comparison.

    If you have to buy one get the high res antiglare or glossy. I didn’t and there is not much screen real estate to do anything. Yeah it’s expensive but it is more than worth it in the long run. If you don’t have to get one consider waiting until late 2012 for the refresh.

    Thanks for posting! Getting a replacement tomorrow due to spill damage from the one I purchased in nov of 2010. Is it odd at all that the price hasn’t increased? I paid 1799 for 15″ and if I read the apple site correctly the new on is the same.
